About Us

In 2008 Elizabeth Rummer, MSPT and Stephanie Prendergast, MPT formed the Breast Health and Rehabilitation Center. Their vision is to provide a comprehensive rehabilitation program for the woman with breast cancer. The post-surgical pain, compromised mobility and strength, swelling, and scar formation are often overlooked when treating breast cancer. Working within their network of oncologists, radiologists, and plastic surgeons, the Breast Health and Rehabilitation Center will provide a treatment plan that will address these special rehabilitative needs. This team approach will successfully eliminate persistent post-surgical pain, improve functional mobility and strength, and decrease lymphoedema in a compassionate environment.

The physical therapists at the Breast Health and Rehabilitation Center are extremely dedicated to the profession and their patients. They pledge to continue to educate the community and increase public awareness of breast cancer and breast cancer rehabilitation. They are committed to increasing their knowledge and physical therapy skills in order to offer the highest quality of care to their patients.
